This smart charger is designed to charge our 12VDC NiMH batteries. It has a charge current of 1.0A, which will drop to 0.07A once the battery reaches capacity in order to maintain the peak voltage while protecting the cells from being overcharged.
Usage Guidelines:
• After plugging the charger into an outlet, the LED on the front of the charger will turn green, indicating it is ready to charge.
• Once the battery is connected, the LED will turn red until the battery is fully charged.
• The LED will return to green once the battery is fully charged. The charger will then reduce the current in order to maintain the peak voltage of the battery.
• Remove the battery from the charger once it is fully charged. The trickle-charge feature can be used to keep the battery at peak voltage for immediate use, but leaving a battery on the charger for extended periods of time can degrade its performance.
